About the Centre
The Renewal Retreat Center (RRC) had its genesis in the April of 1994 when Rev. Fr. George Jacob Poothakuzhy CST was the novice master for the CST novices. Every Saturday, prayer meetings called Vachana Sahyanam, were conducted for the seminarians. Soon, word about these meetings spread all around and through gradual developments, the present retreat auditorium was finally blessed on the 22nd March 1997 on a one acre land belonging to the Vidya Bhavan community provided by the Provincial of the St. Joseph province of the CST congregation.RETREATS AND PROGRAMME SCHEDULES

TAPAS RETREAT
(The Sanskrit word Tapas means concentrated prayer effort under extreme abstinence over a prolonged period of time)During Tapas retreat, retreatants take No food or other nourishments except water, and concentrate only on praying and seeking God and his will and gifts in their lives.

AKHANDA JAPAMALA
(Akhanda means uninterrupted or continuous in Sanskrit, Japamala means Rosary in Malayalam)These are uninterrupted or continuous Rosaries offered to the Blessed mother, continuously for 24 hours, every last Friday of the month

Malayalam - Daily - 10:00AM to 12:00PMThe Intercessory Prayer will be held in the Cellar chapel at the convention hall. It is desirable that batches of minimum 3 people spend time in intercession by rotation for 2 hour periods from 07:00 AM to 08:00 PM when the retreats are on.

NIGHT VIGIL
During Night Vigil, one keeps awake and prays in the presence of the Lord, in the form of the Blessed Sacrament. Scripture says- Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches! Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord!
