Perhaps your last opportunity to do a DD retreat!!!
To: The DD Retreatants & Team
From: Conrad Saldanha
The Discipline and Discernment (DD) Retreat initiated in 2004, officially recognized by Cardinal Ivan Dias in April 2006 will be discontinued from June, 2008. The youth retreat from May 9 to 14, 2008 and the general retreat from May 31 to June 5, 2008 retreat will be the last two retreats followed by a recollection on 8th June, 2008 (St. Paul School Hall, Dadar, 4.00 – 8.30 PM)
As per the order of the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Bombay, I have been asked to focus on parish work and put a stop to the DD Retreat Ministry. I wish to humbly submit to this decision.
In view of the nature of this decision and keeping in mind the demands of the ministry, I eagerly seek your co-operation and request you all to refrain from approaching me or any of my team members for prayers, counseling or any form of ministering.
I wish to thank all of you for your enthusiasm, co-operation and support during the four years of the DD Retreat Ministry. Your prayers flowing from your simplicity of heart have been a great help to me and the team especially during our years of struggle to keep the DD Ministry alive. As you are well aware that in my zeal to serve you, I have spent many a sleepless night in ministering to you, which I consider a great privilege and a blessing. I want to specially thank my team members for demonstrating exemplary service before, after and during the DD retreats and for continuing to support me in spite of all the gossip and slander that is deliberately being spread by certain vested interests.
I always considered the DD Retreat Ministry as God’s gift to bring about renewed vigor of grace and blessings to the Catholic Church. May the seed of God’s word sown in your heart bring about abundant fruit and a rich harvest of blessings both in your life and those whom you serve.
Blessings,
P.S. Kindly avail of this opportunity of doing either of the last two DD retreat at Vinayalaya, Andheri, and also inform your friends and family about it. For registration contact: Reeta: 9819828660; Lourdes : 9819709534; Christopher: 9821429967; Gilu 9819828667
